As part of our sustainability mission, we also had a vision to offer EcoAceate frame options that biodegrade at their end of life in landfill. There’s also our EcoGrilamid materials, which are made from 50% renewable resources, using castor oil instead of petrochemicals for a long-lasting, lightweight material.

Eco Grilamid
Our Eco-Grilamid frames are made from a bio-based material that is better for the environment than normal plastics you see everyday. Its main ingredient, castor oil, comes from plants grown in semi-arid areas that don’t compete for land used in food production.
Mineral Glass
OTIS uses mineral glass lenses across the range. Mineral glass is created from natural elements like sand & soda ash. It’s recyclable & harmless to humans and animals alike. Its optical clarity, resistance to scratch, and lack of distortion make it a super durable lens material.
